Life of my life, I shall ever try

Life of my life,
I shall ever try
to keep my body pure,
knowing that thy living touch
is upon all my limbs.

I shall ever try
to keep all untruths out from my thoughts,
knowing that thou art that truth
which has kindled the light of reason in my mind?

I shall ever try
to drive all evils away from my heart
and keep my love in flower,
knowing that thou
hast thy seat in the inmost shrine of my heart.

And it shall be my endeavour
to reveal thee in my actions,
knowing it is thy power
gives me strength to act.

Matthew 10:16-17 KJV
“Behold I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye, therefore, wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”

This was Christ’s teaching to his disciples.
Harmless as doves!
Please show me Christ's disciples today. What has happened to his teachings?
How many people are killed in his name, hundreds and it is since the days of crucifixion?
A sheep is something soft and full of love, gentle, a little lamb that surrenders completely. We are to go out or forth full of love, and we should know we will not meet love.
People will fight and try to destroy you, but you are to remain as harmless as a dove.
