Do you want to live in peace and be happy

1) Share Your Happiness
“Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.”

2) Do Not Judge
“In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true.”

3) Have No Fear
“Even death is not to be feared by one who has lived wisely.”

4) Let Go of Anger
“Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.”
5) Take Action
“I do not believe in a fate that falls on men however they act; but I do believe in a fate that falls on them unless they act.”

6) Be Resilient
“Chaos is inherent in all compounded things. Strive on with diligence.”

7) Look Within
“Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts. But once mastered, no one can help you as much.”

8) Find Your Purpose
“Your work is to discover your world and then with all your heart give yourself to it.”

9) Be Compassionate
“Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace.”

10) Help Someone
“If you light a lamp for someone else it will also brighten your path.”

From the teachings of the Buddha

Stop thinking so much

The three most important things in life are love, kindness and wisdom. If we have made these three values the priorities of our life, then our life will have been well-lived. When we die we can only have happiness when we look back at our lives with no regrets. Wealth, fame, power, status, worldly success and pleasures — these are insignificant compared to love, kindness and wisdom. Cultivate the latter. If we spend our life cultivating this trio, our birth and life will have been worthwhile; it will not have been in vain.

“I have noticed that people are dealing too much with the negative, with what is wrong... Why not try the other way, to look into the patient and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom?”
~Thich Nhat Hanh~

The only thing that will bring happiness is affection and warm-heartedness. This really brings inner strength and self-confidence, reduces fear, develops trust, and trust brings friendship. We are social animals, and cooperation is necessary for our survival, but cooperation is entirely based on trust. When there is trust, people are brought together—whole nations are brought together.
Dalai Lama

And as the wonderful Eckhart Tolle said -

"Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry - all forms of fear - are caused by too much future, and not enough presence." - Eckhart Tolle

Why worry, why stress and live with anxiety, when you have the power to live in the stillness of peace.
