The Moon Cannot Be Stolen
Ryokan, a Zen master, lived the simplest kind of life in a little hut at the foot of a mountain. One evening a thief visited the hut only to discover there was nothing in it to steal.
Ryokan returned and caught him. "You may have come a long way to visit me," he told the prowler, "and you should not return empty handed. Please take my clothes as a gift."
The thief was bewildered. He took the clothes and slunk away.
Ryokan sat naked, watching the moon. "Poor fellow, " he mused, "I wish I could give him this beautiful moon."

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow
into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness
into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like
the leaves of Autumn.” ― John Muir
If you want wisdom, empty your heart of ignorance. If you want contentment, empty your heart of greed. If you want serenity, empty your heart of ill will.
~Buddha
“At any moment, you have a choice, that either leads you closer to your spirit or further away from it. Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything - anger, anxiety, or possessions - we cannot be free."
~Thich Nhat Hanh~

BE ENCOURAGED
… In the midst of a fiery trial:
> Daniel chose to PRAY
> Esther chose to CALL FOR A FAST
> Deborah chose to FIGHT
> Judah chose to PRAISE
> Abraham chose to BELIEVE
> Joseph chose to TRUST
> Elijah chose to DECLARE
> Paul and Silas chose to SING
DELIVERANCE! RESCUE! VICTORY!
