When we do exactly as God says, like Moses we will
have more than enough to get the job done. Many, many years ago, I
asked God to prepare me for His work. To make it so I would not have to
rely on tithes and offerings to live or fulfill His calling. Patiently, I
followed His leading, doing as instructed, God has supplied and
continues to supply all I need. [Read Exodus 25:1-9; 35:4-19]
Exodus 36:1-7 So let Bezalel and Oholiab get to
work, with every wise-hearted man to whom the Lord has given wisdom and
knowledge, to do whatever is necessary for the ordering of the holy
place, as the Lord has given orders. 2 Then Moses sent for Bezalel and
Oholiab, and for all the wise-hearted men to whom the Lord had given
wisdom, even everyone who was moved by the impulse of his heart to come
and take part in the work: 3 And they took from Moses all the offerings
which the children of Israel had given for the building of the holy
place. And still they went on giving him more free offerings every
morning.
4 Then the wise men, who were doing all the work of the holy place, came from their work; 5 And said to Moses, The people are giving much more than is needed for the work which the Lord has given us orders to do. 6 So Moses made an order and had it given out through all the tents, saying, Let no man or woman make any more offerings for the holy place. So the people were kept from giving more. 7 For the material they had was enough and more than enough for all the work which had to be done. (BBE)
- This ministry does not have to ask anyone to give anything. I don’t believe we are unique, just another example of what happens when you trust and obey the Lord.
Keep in mind also, when the Lord sent the
disciples (apostles) out to minister, He commanded them to take nothing
for the journey except a staff — no bag, no bread, no copper in their
money belts — 9 but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics. [Read
Mark 6:7-13; compare Matthew 10:1,5-15; Luke 9:1-6]. The book of Acts
records what happened to the Apostles during their ministries, didn’t
the Lord provide for them?
