Wealthy In Spirit...

Today I'd like to share  a wonderful passage with you -

Symphony -  By William Henry Channing

To Live Content... with small means, To Seek Elegance... rather than luxury, and refinement  rather than fashion.

To Be Worthy... not respectable, and wealthy, not rich.

To Study Hard... think quietly, talk gently, act  frankly.

To Listen to Stars... and birds, to babies and sages, with an open heart.

To Bear All... cheerfully, do all bravely, await  occasions, hurry never.

In a Word... to let the spiritual, unbidden and  unconscious, grow up through the common.

This is to be my symphony.
William Henry Channing's Symphony first appeared in an  Arthur Brisbane editorial - from the 1906 collection.

"Wealth is the ability to fully experience life."
 - Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)

"A man's true wealth is the good he does in the world. Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror. But you are eternity and you are the mirror."
- Kahlil Gibran (1883-1931)

"You aren't wealthy until you have something money can’t buy."
 - Garth Brooks

"Every circumstance you have in your life is the result  of your thoughts, from which you base your behavior. When you believe you can succeed, you end up doing things differently."
By Loral Langemeier

God’s perspective on spiritual wealth

Mark 10:23–31

23 And Jesus, looking around, * said to His disciples, “aHow hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 The disciples awere amazed at His words. But Jesus * answered again and * said to them, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25 aIt is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 26 They were even more astonished and said to Him, “1Then who can be saved?” 27 Looking at them, Jesus * said, “aWith people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”

28 aPeter began to say to Him, “Behold, we have left everything and followed You.” 29 Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, athere is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, 30 1but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in 2the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in athe age to come, eternal life. 31 But amany who are first will be last, and the last, first.”

And finally

Luke chapter 1 verse 37, “For nothing will be impossible with God.
