It's Global Handwashing Day.
At our kitchen that means one tap, one long queue, and about 80 children before breakfast.
Mama Dikeledi's rule is simple: nobody gets porridge with dirty hands.
The trouble is the queue at a single tap, and soap that runs out by Wednesday.
Ma Lerato's fix: two tippy-taps by the kitchen door.
That's a hanging water container you tip with a foot pedal, so nobody touches anything.
Cheap to build, easy to repair, and the kids are going to love the pedal.
R450 keeps the kitchen in soap for a month.
Donate through the link below, or drop off bars of soap and empty 5-litre containers at the kitchen.
