Behind every project is a person.
When we talk about poverty, unemployment, hunger or children struggling at school, it's easy to talk about numbers.
But numbers don't tell the whole story.
There is a mother worrying about her children.
A pensioner wondering how to stretch the week's food.
A child trying to learn without the resources others take for granted.
This is why community work matters.
People aren't statistics. They are someone's mother, father, child, grandmother, neighbour or friend.
And sometimes, all someone needs is for another person to care enough to say:
“I see you.”
